SEEDS & SPROUTS

SPROUT IDEAS:

Sprouts… YUM! Slightly nutty, very tasty and nutritional to boot! Hubby has been making spouts for the last couple of weeks to help keep his blood sugar down (he has type two diabetes). He sprinkles them on everything from omelettes to tacos to sandwiches. I put a glob in my smoothie every morning (If I remember they’re available that is, lol). I haven’t cooked with them yet. In the past, he’s sprouted stuff from our “regular” long term food storage like wheat, rye, various types of beans, lentils, etc., and they’re okay, too. He hasn’t tried chia seeds that I remember.
